Hey there, just thought I'd see how many of ya'll have a similar addiction/affliction as I do. Namely, I really seem to have somehow got into Lever action rifles in the past year. Finally got most of the herd together for a pix and thought I'd pass it on and hear about others (happy) plight....

Top to bottom:
Marlin 1894 LTD Edition 357 mag with Burris 4x mini
Wild West Guns Co-Pilot based on a Marlin 1895 XLR in matte stainless then modded to takedown, Kevlar stock, .457 WW, etc.
Winchester 94 Trapper AE, pre safety, 30-30.
Marlin 336 30-30 pre safety with a Ramline replacement stock due bad crack in original.

Missing is a Marlin 1894 Ltd. Edition in 44 Mag that is still NIB and another 1894 in 44mag that I traded off earlier this year to get the 357 LTD Edition.

After finally reclaiming my long lost 30-06 a couple of months ago and a M700 BDL SS in 338WM, an old style Ruger Vaquero in 44 mag and a Springfield M6 in 22 hornet/410 I thought I had bought my last gun for this year, but there is a 454 casull lever gun at my local shop that is calling out to me.......

I would be really, really insterested in modding my 1894C to takedown. How would I go about that?

I bought my first (Marlin 336C) back last Dec. as a Christmas present to myself just because I needed a shorter rifle to fit in our smaller hunting stands. Liked it so much, I bought a used Winchester .30-30 to compare the two, and to have one without a scope. the Winchester has done nothing for me after shooting the Marlin. Now I'm looking into financing a Yellow Boy in .45LC. But man, are they expensive!

Nice collection of "Ozark/Smoky Mountain Machine Guns"***

I just have one lever gun right now, a Marlin 30AW in .30-30. But I have owned several others over the years, including Marlins in .357 & .44, and a Winny in .30-30. Almost forgot the Marlin I had for a short time in .35Rem.

***Hey, I'm allowed to say that...I grew up in & around Ark-Tenn

I started shooting with a Browning lever in .22. No matter with what ammo or with what shooter, the thing couldn't hit a tin can at 10 paces. I guess I'm in line to inherit it, but won't let me kids shoot it as I don't want to frustrate them.

A Marlin 444 guide gun would be cool!

ScottsGT-

Puma has a brass 1892 Replica, and Henry's side-eject brass gun is very nice, both available in .45LC, and both a good deal less than the Yellowboy.

They're both more modern action designs than the Yellowboy, so they're not EXACTLY the same, but they might be easier to clean and load, for a pretty similar gun and the same all-around shooting experience.

This place in Idaho has good prices:

Well, I never really thought of myself as a lever gun fan but I bought a M94 Trapper in .44 Magnum and had fun with it. Then I got a M92 clone in .45 Colt (also with a 16" barrel) and that was fun, too. Then I saw a 1954 Winchester M94 (standard 20" 30-30 carbine) at $165 and I couldn't pass it up. Then I bought a 1956 Malin M39 for $135 and a Henry .22 from Wal-Mart (an impulse buy).

So, I went from non-fan to owning five of them. I would love to have a 94 with the 26" octagon barrel but they are way too pricey for me.

I think I'm starting on a levergun addiction. I have an old Rossi Puma 92 in .357 and I really like shooting it. I've been thinking about a Marlin 1895G for no special reason other than having one .45-70 gun around to make big noises

I got into LAs and pumps 'way back. As a southpaw, an LA or pump with an exposed hammer was the most practical option I had if I wanted a repeater back when I was a kid learning to shoot and hunt. In medium game calibers, there were a whole heck of a lot more LAs than pumps around, at least where we were in SW Missouri.

Presently, I have five Marlins. A much-cherished M-39M I've had for thirty years or so, an early 1895G with ports, two 336s - a .30/30 and a .35 Rem., and a M57 "Levermatic" .22.

A Savage 99F in .308.

Two Rossi M92 clones in .357 - a 20" and a "Trapper" 16".

A Browning BL-22.

A Ruger M96 (will be a gift to my niece this Xmas).

And an old Mossberg M400 "Palomino" .22.

On the "wish list" are a Sako Finnwolf, a pre-64 Winchester M88, and a Browning BLR in 7mm-08.

So yeah, I guess I qualify.

Three Marlins: .357, .44, .45-70
One Browning BL-22
One Henry .22
One Ruger .22 lever
Two Winchester commemerative .30-30 Mod 94 rifles.

And I shoot them all. :)

I have six leverguns. Three Winchesters and three Marlins. My favorite is my Marlin 1894pg .44 mag carbine. If I had to choose just one gun as my one and only, this would be it.

I've got a Marlin Model 1894 SS in .44 mag, its a great gun, really accurate too. I'd like to pick up a 30-30 sometime in the future too

1964 Winchester Mod 94 .30-30. Love shootin' the darn thing. Especially since I purchased the dies to reload for it. Much easier on the pocketbook.

the old man left me a 1940-ish 94 in 32 Special. don't shoot it much. but my favorite rifle is a lever - a 336 30-30 Cowboy Roundup ('85) with straight grip, Williams ghost ring and fiber front sight.

I have quite a few rifles but this one is the one I handle and shoot most. Fits the hand, balances perfectly on carry in the field, looks like it belongs in the woods.

preferences. we all have them. lever guns won the west and lever guns will keep it.

When I was a boy, the only levergun I ever wanted was a Winchester '94 ... but now I can tell you that Marlin doesn't make a lever-action rifle that I don't love.

Yeah, I'm an addict. And the lever-action is America's Rifle.

First rifle I bought, Win 9422.

Acquired another fifty or so more over 25 years, but no levers.

3 years ago, got the bug,

Now

Marlin 1895 45-70,
1894 44 mag,
1894 41 mag

Winchester
1894 Trapper 357 mag & 45 Colt,
1894 Legacy 38-55, Color Case Hardened, Tang Sight, 26 inch barrel,
Trails End 45 Colt octagonal barrel.
Handy, light, fast.

I am not sure if 3 levers counts as a nut. I have a 9422 (great gun!) a pre-64 30/30 that I call my shooter since I have a peep sight on it and a nice pre-64 unfired that is firmly parked in the safe. Beautiful gun! (all 30/30's of course).

I have been hunting a nice 357 Winchester BB or a 38-55 but I have not found one "yet" that I like.

Bought my first lever gun at a gunshow for $165. Marlin 1894S (.44 magnum.)
I put a Williams peep sight on it. Fantastic little lever gun. A friend just HAD to have it. I sold it to him for $400. (Hey, he made the offer!!!)

I bought a Winchester 1894 Trapper w/16" bbl in .44 magnum that will be my son's when he becomes 18.

Also have an 1895G 'Guide Gun' in .45/70. Never fired.
Bought an 1895CB 'Cowboy' in .45/70. Something about that octagonal barrel! Never fired, either.

The .45/70s will be fired soon.:D

Looking for the 1894CB 'Cowboy' in .44 mag. Again, there's something about that octagonal barrel.

i really love leverguns. and i dont even own one. i'm a horrible person.

but to add to the thread, i'll post a pic of my future lever:
