I am looking for info on current production Tavor bull pup. I have heard trigger pull on them had been bad in the past, around 10 pounds is what I have heard. Has that been improved any? Any recent info on currently produced Tavors is greatly appreciated.

Don't own one but have fired one found that it was butt heavy and the red dot that was on it was useless for me but I need a riser on my ARs to get the optics high enough for me to use so not the rifles fault.

The original Tavor SAR had an ok trigger but definitely not great. With the X95 (second gen) the factory trigger was noticeably better, and it works in the SAR as well. If you still don't like it Geisselle makes an excellent drop in for both. I find the Tavor to be extremely maneuverable as like any bullpup the weight is close to your body. I get about 1.5 MOA with quality ammo. Super reliable. My kids prefer the Steyr Aug and I find the FN FS2000 to be more accurate, but I enjoy all 3. Each has many strengths and in my mind, no really glaring weaknesses. I found an X95 trigger from someone who upgraded their X95 for cheap and it works well for me in the SAR.

Oh, and I'll soon be getting a Tavor7 (.308 version). Damn near perfect battle rifle.

The triggers on the recent Tavor is supposed to be better than the original SAR. I went with Shootingsight’s excellent hammer & sear pack. My SAR was a pretty solid 2MOA rifle, which isn’t too bad for something that is essentially an AK in a bullpup configuration.

My brother in law has the X95 version. The trigger is definitely useable. Nothing to write home about but it really wont hinder you for practical type shooting. It's been years since Ive shot the older model Tavor so I cant really compare the two triggers. If you are looking at a X95 I definitely wouldn't discount it based on the trigger, unless you were wanting to use it for bench rest group shooting for some reason.
