A friend of mine keeps insisting that, if I continue to risk a misdemeanor arrest for CCW in my state, when I move to another state I'll be denied a permit.

I'm not aware of any state that denies permits based upon misdemeanors, unless they're misdemeanor crimes of violence.

Does anyone have a solid information about this? I'd appreciate any replies.

CA does, for a period of 5 years by law.

policy, I'd bet no where in CA will give you one.

Personally, if it was legal for me to do so, you would not be getting one from me. You have shown that you do not repsect the law in reguard to firearms. Rather the laws are right or wrong makes no diffrence.

Well, I'm glad you're not the issuing authority where I'm moving.

The city I live in has one of the highest violent crime rates in the country, and a governor determined to keep the law abiding disarmed.

I'd rather take my chances with the law than with the thugs on the streets.

So, you want us to condone your criminal acts because you chose to live in a dangerous locale?

What other laws do you regularly ignore because it isn't convenient? Are you planning on committing other misdemeanors when you get to your new state if the laws there don't suit you?

I live in a county where the only way you can get a CCW is to "buy" it from the sheriff. he even gives them out to people that can't own guns... just as long as they give 10s of thousands to his relection fund.

So there is no real diffrence between us when it comes to being able to get a CCW.
