Anybody else like gun stickers/decals

Nothing what so ever goes on the truck. Several years back, I read of NRA members coming under increased scrutiny by lots of different folks if they had an NRA bumper sticker.

In today's modern USA world

I have read the same thing from different sources but I have never been a sticker guy unless on a gun case.

7thCavScout remarked,

can anyone actually document a case where a vehicle was broken into because of a firearms related sticker?

It doesn't matter. Can anyone actually document a case where someone died by jumping into a volcano?

No?

Then it must be safe to jump into volcanos.

It's too bad we as gun enthusiasts don't have a decal of some sort that would let other "good guys" know of our passion, but wouldn't attract unwanted attention. Something along the lines of the whole Mason compass and square.

to some extend We do (at least AR owners do)

the AR15.com logo in vinyl sticker form Available at the ARFcom store for next to nothing

not very many Non-gunowners know what the heck that is. took several mins of driving behind a guy on I-10 before the light went on in my head and I both own and have built ARs.

Non gun folks will see that shape and think "Gear/sprocket/etc" not "Gun"

As for myself, Even though I have a stash of stickers that i've bought over the years, for a number of reasons including those already stated here I do not currently have any on my truck.

How about something like this, but without the verbiage? Simple, non-proprietary, and if someone asks, you can tell them it's a "W" for wisdom or something. Or "women." Or say it's just a company parking lot sticker:

Otherwise you can simply tell them what it is --a Patridge-style sight picture.

Personally, when I see arcane logos or whatever on cars, I figure if the knowledge as to what they mean is important, that knowledge will come to me sooner or later and I dismiss it from my mind.

At first, I thought this one

was a goofy "unhappy" face, but then I noticed the other bumper stickers on the car which related to Malamute dogs and had a sudden and striking realization (an "epiphany!") as to what it was.

See, in that case the needed knowledge came to me right away! :)

Some folks worry too much... I live in a GM town. I worked and retired from GM. The Chevrolet truck plant is across town. I owned a Dodge pickup, and had a big (14") sticker in my back window with that 'contemporary Calvin' kid grabbing his crotch and flipping the bird, with 'bite me bowtie boy' around it. No issues. Except the gestures from some chevy drivers and the laughter and thumbs up from Dodge and Ford guys ( I guess Chevy guys have less sense of humor).

My wife has a Kalashnikitty sticker on her Dodge truck, and wants a bite me sticker on hers now...
