Anyone carry 2 snubs?

The 4" dan wesson has been paired with a snubbie in the past.
Facing the big city issues of the rampant armed and stupid groups, I'm thinking of doing just that again.
Or, a full size (CZ85) auto and a snubbie.

But, two J's ain't a bad way to go.

I'd rather carry a compact semi-auto or a larger framed revolver than two J-frames but I don't see why not- Especially if you've already got the gun and holster.

Blasphemy!! A two snub thread and not one mention of John Henry Fitzgerald. :what: Fitz always carried a pair of Colt "Fitz Specials" in his two front pockets.

How are we defining snubs also? I have seen N frame S&W's with sub 3" barrels but I don't consider them in the same niche as a J frame snub. I have NAA mini revolvers too, are those considered snubs due to sub 2" barrels on many models?

Anyone like K frame S&W snubs like a 2" model 10? they are pushing the size limit of what I consider a classic snub but I like the extra shot and generally better trigger action of these guns compared to J frames. They even came in an airweight model, the model 12.

Since I bought the Mika's holsters, I have started carrying the 296 (.44 Spcl 5-shot) more. Oddly, it fits nearly as well and in nearly as many of my pants pockets as the 642. I have carried both - and no speedloaders.

I used to carry 2 colt detective specials. Now its two Taurus 85 Ultralights. The only practical problem I have is of course reloading and ammo capacity. I carry the same speed loaders and speed strips for both. I like shooting them both in each hand or at the same time. No problems shooting with my left hand cause I practice alot. And its a not a problematic transition from one to another in a New York reload situation.

442 in an ankle holster, a new addition to the SP101 I sometimes carry in a fanny pack.

I often carry a S&W model 36 with a bobbed hammer. It fits in the pocket really well. I usually carry a couple of bianchi speed strips or a speedloader with it.

"Snubs" are not specifically defined, but rather a matter of general consensus. Any revolver of less than 4 inches in barrel length is generally considered to fall somewhere into the "snubby" category. After that, whether the gun is a snubnose becomes subject to personal taste.

The 2" K frame is certainly considered a snubnose. Most consider a revolver for duty or practical uses, like hunting, ought to have at least 3 inch barrel lengths, usually 4 or more. 2 inch barrels are usually not considered for such work.

In addition to the K frame, don't forget about Colt. Colt set the tone for the snubnose market. Detective Specials are 6 shot guns, and slightly less than the size of the K frame. But, because of their lockup design, they allow for a longer ejector rod to throw the empties. The 2" K frame's ejector rod is barely adequate.

Colt made the Cobra and Agent, which are lightweight models, too.

There's just something about a Colt revolver. Smiths are fine guns, but since I started playing with Colts, I've formed a preference for them over my Smiths.
