I need to find something to replace my USP40c. The 40 is a great gun but not fit to me. The 40 is a little harder to control. I shot better with a glock 19 but I don't want to go to the glock. I like the mag release on the USP and all my mags are drop-free.

Does anyone within 40miles of Clemson have a p2000 9mm that they would let me put about 50rnds throught? Pretty, pretty, please?

With the interchangable backstraps the P2000 should fit anyone and it's got an excellent trigger. Hope you find one to try.

I normally go to the DNR range near the Pickens-Liberty Airport. I just took a tactical handgun course so I might start going to the un-manned range in the national forest because it doesn't have stalls and I can move about.

Good deal... I usually go to the open one up in the woods past walhalla... I think thats the one you are talking about. I've actually seen a lot of other Clemson students up there from time to time.

FWIW, the P2000 that I played with a few weeks ago was surpisingly comfortable in the hands, and felt more compact than the USPc's. I have a USP Compact with the LEM trigger and I highly recommend it.

If you can find one, do make every effort to play with one. I think you'll be hooked.

If you can't find one, don't overlook the other tupperware out there like the XDs and Steyr's new M-A1. :)

Good luck trying to find one. I doubt that even Grady's would even carry it. But it is a great gun very comfortable. If you liked the G19, you'll more than likely enjoy the HK.

FWIW, I bought my P226/.40 at Grady's and ended up paying about $40 more than I would have buying it from The Gunshop in Walhalla, if you've ever been there. The owner there won't match some of the very good deals you will find on the internet, but he's almost always lower than Grady's, on handguns at least, in my experience. He has also ordered 3 guns for me in a timely fashion that he didn't have in stock, so if there isn't one there, its really not a big deal.

If you find one that you would like to buy over the internet, Clemson Gun and Pawn next to Bilo will do the transfer for a flat $25 no matter what gun it is. I've never had the occasion to use them yet, but thats the best transfer price I've found around here.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I know grady's wouldn't have it. They only have two or three hk's anytime I go in there.

I spent my tax refund money on a backup gun from Budsgunshop.com. Sig 232 all stainless w/night sights for $483.15+$25 s/h. Grady's wanted 499 for stainless w/standard sights. Had it transfered to central trading post, the guy there only charges $25 also.
