I bought a DPMS 7.62 oracle last month and don't know what to put on it for a scope or scope mount. I have a leupold vx3 3.5-10 X 40 i can put on it but the scope mounts i have make it a little to close to the charging handle. I'm going to use it for deer hunting but other then that some shooting around with my friends. I have also looked at some red dots that look nice so that could be an option also. This is my first AR rifle so i'm still learning but what are some good mounts for a scope or some good red dots to check out.

Your Leupold scope would be great for a hunting rifle.

But scope centerline needs to be 2 1/2" above the bore line for proper eye placement with the straight-line stock.

You need high rings at least.
The rings you have might work on top of 1/2" riser blocks.

Or something like the Nikon M-223 mount Robert101 mentioned. Not that you need the +20 MOA feature.

Or the Burris AR-PEPR.

I have Warne QD's on a 20moa raiser on my N6. ArmaLite makes a nice one piece scope mount for the 7.62 AR that's very affordable. The Nikon 20moa mount would work also. I have one of those on a AR15, it's a solid mount.

Do you have a extended latch on your charging handle? These are a must with scoped AR's.

I also really like the Wilson Accu-rizer. With that unit you don't need an extended charging handle

I put my Leupold Mark AR in an AD-Recon scope mount from American Defense. It was a bit pricy but gets the scope up to 1.4 inches. It's one piece with a quick disconnect system. I've taken it off and put it back on several times and it returns to zero without having to be re adjusted.
