ar bump fire trigger

Okay, good. I thought that picture was going to be of a rubber band (or shoelace) trick that is decidedly not legal. Stay safe, kiddies.

The illegal shoelace won't work on the AR, nothing to hook it to.

Derp (though I'm sure there's a way that someone's figured out, by now ;)). A lightning link is scarcely more complicated, in any case.

Follow-up, my TacCon trigger experience

I ran another 200 rounds of .22lr with it in normal semi-auto mode, and had only one fail to fire, a true dud with three good dents made on three attempts to fire it with strikes at 3, 12, & 9 o'clock on the rim. Seems my in initial failure to fire problems were caused by some crud that was keeping the conversion from getting fully into battery sometimes. Since I'd discovered it and cleaned it out the TacCon has ignited .22lr as good as anything else I have.

I ran 125 rounds through it "bump fire" (not really bump fire, you get a tactile feedback to help you know when you can pull again, but hardly a "trigger slap") and all I can say is I can shoot it significantly faster than than I can my CMC 3.5lb trigger. I was able to keep 3-4 round "bursts" on a 6" steel plate at ~15 yards so its a lot more accurate than the Slide-Fire. I'd say I get almost the rate of my AK Slide-Fire, but a good bit less than my AR Slide-Fire.

I've had exactly zero luck getting my AR Slide-Fire to run with .22lr. So if .22lr ammo ever gets back to normal I'll be happy with the TacCon for this reason.

If you can run an "enhanced" trigger at 400-500 RPM then I'd agree the TacCon could not possibly be worth it for you, but I can't. Since the TacCon lets me get rates in this ball park with .22lr (and others) and much better accuracy than I can get with the Slide-Fire, I'm reasonably satisfied.

As an "enhanced trigger" my CMC is better at less than half the cost so its definitely better if you don't need assistance or want to "go fast".

Remember on "Sons of Guns" Jerry Miculek came within an eye blink of matching a full auto AK in a mag dump with much better accuracy. They didn't say what trigger he used, so if you are fast enough you don't need the assistance of Slide-Fire stocks or TacCon triggers.

Darn great idea ya got there.

By all means try this! Any effort is worth a thousand dreams. So far there so many more reasons than results. Reasons are the excuse for not having results. Just ask any of my kids! I love my bum-stock! I load with a Dillon 650 and can only do so much super accurate, long range whatever shooting. The thrill alone of "full auto" is worth the time on the loading bench. I wish you the best of luck and hope to read of your success. PS, got a pay-pal account for when you do succeed?

I am sorry, and don't mean to offend anyone.
But what is the sense of a Bump fire trigger ?
It just seems like a good way to waste ammo.
If you want Full Auto, then pay the tax and get yourself one.
I am a fan of Full Auto, but just cant get behind someone like a Tommy Tactical Guy doing bump fire and hitting nothing.
Back in the day, we called it Spray and Pray, or Accuracy by Volume
This is very true. I see no good reason for bump firing other than to spray lead and not hit anything.I would argue that a 3 shot burst wastes ammo in most cases nullifying the "advantage" of the 223/556 in the amount of ammo carried by a combatant. Aimed fire that hits its target in every case trumps a burst that misses.Aimed fire is and always has been where it is at.:banghead:

The 4th of July approaches, Spray and pray mag dumps at a bunch of water filled plastic jugs is always good for some grins while waiting for it to get dark enough for the fireworks. Sure we could bust them up one at a time at much greater distances with well aimed single shots using a lot less ammo, that's usually what we do, but sometimes you just want a bit of Rock'N'Roll without spending 10K+ on a real full auto.

What good are fireworks?

Sometimes turning money into noise while having a grand old time while doing so is the point of the exercise! Its called Freedom.
