AR Irons

I've used the crosshair front sight post before and I didn't like it. The sight picture became cluttered and it obscures the target too much for my liking (low light makes it almost impossible to see past the front sight).

Thanks............

Are there thinner posts available? I have exceptional eyesight, it seems that the standard 4 sided post is just too thick for serious tack driving.

I'm using a National Match sights on my Bushy.

Here is a link to more front sights from KNS. They have the thinner ones that you inquired about. OEM front sight post width is 0.070", and KNS offers them in 0.052 and 0.034. I've used the latter with great results using the small long-distance aperture on the rear sight.

These are all KNS sights, and as such you may want to look at other companies' offerings.

I don't think it would be
A: easy to focus your eye on
B: easy to get a consistant sight picture.

The standard A2 sights are fast to aquire and accurate for man sized targets but I'd like to dial it in a little more.

Their are shooters out there that can hit things with the A2 sights at distances that the average joe isn't going to be able to hit with a scope. If you want to upgrade your irons, work on the rear sight- getting a rear sight with the correct size aperture for the type of shooting you are doing.
