i think the resaon that ar sights are so much better is because they are peep sights and not your typical u notch rear like the aks, with tha said i have no issues with the ak sights they aren't very fast on target but they work, and even better when you train with em. i lan o adding a rail and an eotech on my ak in the future.
The AK sights aren't terrible. They're not overly accurate, but neither is the gun. It's not hard to hit a decent-size target at 100 yards with one, just don't expect tack-driver groups on a paper target. They're fine for their intended use (human-size targets). I do agree that the AR sights work somewhat better, though.
Another reason people complain about AK sights is the short sight radius...this also makes them a little less accurate. They aren't paper punchers but "MOM" Minute of Man. They can get the job done!
does it rezero 100% when dismounted for cleaning? This is the problem with my KTR. Once mounted, it is rock solid. However, if you zero it, remove it, replace it and shoot again, the zero has drifted a bit. Not much, and the groups are really tight, but enough that it is annoying.
