I just got done organizing my magazines and I believe I need a 12 step program to overcome my problem.

My name is 12 Volt Man and I'm a mag whore.

Here is what I came up with.

CZ P-01 12 Mags + 3 in the mail on the way to me
CZ 75B 6 Mags including a 30 rounder
CZ 97B 5 Mags
CZ 40B 3 Mags
CZ 40P 3 Mags + 2 on the way from Arizona Gun Runners
1911 4 Mags
Springfield XD 4 Mags
Makarov 8 Mags

We better not talk about the magazines I have stashed away for my AR and AK.

I'm hooked on magazines too. But what's weird is when I got to the range I usually end up just using and reloading the same magazine over and over . Can someone explain why I feel the need to have so many magazines, but don't use them? Maybe the first step is to accept that we have a problem.

6 magazines for a FAL (rest it's soul) one of which destroyed (along with the gun) and one with a bent lip.
4 AR-15 mags, 2 more coming.
CZ 40 cal mags: 2 8 rnd, 2 10 rd, 2 12 rnd.
CZ 9mm mags. 2 16 rnd, 2 15 rnd, 2 mostly untrustworthy 9 rnd mags (after swapping follower with the 17 rnders to make them 16 and usable.
Glock 40 S&W mags: 2 17rnd, 2 15 rnd 2 10 rnd, and 2 more 15 rnd on the way.
Browning Buckmark: 3 10 rnd.
Delta Elite: 1 Colt 8 rnd, 3 CMC Shooting Star 9 rnd.
Desert Eagle 44 mag: 1 factory, 1 ProMag (range only, weak spring, crappy follower).
Desert Eagle 50 AE: 2 factory.
6 moon clips for my S&W 646, 5 moon clips for my Taurus 455, not nearly enough for either.
Want more 12 rnd CZ 40 mags, need new springs for the ones I have now.

I like at least 6 mags for any gun I intend to carry. 3 for the range and 3 for "work". I like 1 flush fit in the gun and 2 "full size" w/ extensions if I can get them for reloads. Mag compatability helps keep the total number of mags to a reasonalbe level. I'll be replacing the 9mm CZ 75B with a 40 75B SA to help with this.

I have my magazines arranged in I-Shot magazine pouches. I think I have a minumum of 6 for most of my carry guns....by the way has anyone seen any good deals on Kahr 9 mm magazines????? or a P7PSP or a Walther P5C???

I'm exactly the same way - I use 6-slot iShot mag pouches to store and organize my magazines, which means that I buy most magazines in quantities of six.

For my Glock 35 - 8 fifteens, 4 tens. I'll probably spring for another six fifteens once my Dawson extended floorplates get here.
For my CZ-75 - 6 fifteens, plus a handful of springs, floorplates, and followers salvaged from broken mags.
For my Pardini SPE - 6 fives. Enough to shoot an NMC without reloading.
For my AR - this is kind of pathetic. 5 30rd, 2 20rd. I also have one 20rd Adventureline that got crushed under a case of ammo and won't feed properly anymore, and three 30rd Chartered Industries steel mags that wont seat properly in my rifle. Not a good ratio. Still, I have another dozen mags on order...

I seem to have the same problem. Alway had alot of 7rd & 8rd 1911 mag. About a dozen of both the 20rd &30rd Ar mags. But now with the hi-cap ban gone all my autos seem to be building up a surplus+++ of mags. Need to stop... need money for more guns!!

I only have three mags for the PO1, only one is a 14. The wife has only two for her RAMI ...BUT, the Mosin doesn't use magazines, so I guess I am fully supplied there...
Anyone have a spare RAMI 9mm mag they don't need....?

I try to have one mag in the gun and two spares for all my pistols. For rifiles I like to have one in the gun and six spares.

I try to function test every mag at least once and then generally reuse the one in the gun over and over at the range. Gives me a good idea about the mags robustness and working life, and I know I have fresh spares on hand.

During the ban I could understand buying mags for a gun you don't yet have as I've passed on several guns due to expensive and hard to find spare magazines. Shouldn't be such a problem now.

You can't be a "*ore" with that few magazines. Maybe a "tease" but not a "**ore".

Lets see, none of my guns have less then 7 magazines. Just the key ones below:
M1A's, at least 50 20 rnders for 3 M1A's
H&K P7PSP's 35 8 rnders for 3 psp's.
Sig 210's, 25 8 rnders for 2 210's.
Springfield P9ultra 12 12 rnders.
Springfiled P9 (9mm) 10 16 rnders, 8 15 rnders.
Colt Gov 380, 10 7 rnders.
Beretta 96, 10 10 rnders, 5 12 rnders.

Those are the ones I have a lot of. I suggest you get out the old credit card and give CDNN a call if you want to move from "tease" to "**ore" status...

Whore? Nah.

Magazines are just another "spare part" stacked in my closet. I have 5-10 magazines for each handgun and at least 5 for each long gun. For common long guns, I have a bunch of them, 50 or so M16 magazines, 20+ Uzi, AK, MP5 and M11/9 magazines.

Back before Bill Ruger created the concept of "magazine capacity" bans, you could buy magazines in bulk for next to nothing.

M-16: 10 30 rnd, 1 20 rnd, all 'liberated' GI, and I don't own an AR
1911: 4 GI (for the GI M1911A1), 1 Kimber, 2 Wilson standard 8 rnd, 4 officer 7 rnd
Colt Delta: 3 factory 8 rnd
M1A: 3 20 rnd, various sources
SKS: 20 strippers (do these count?)
The K40, P220, P229, USP Tactical all have just what they came with...but I'm working on that. Oh, the USPs are 12 rounders.

i only saw two posters so far that could be considered magazine whores. You'll have to buy a LOT more to get there. There's guys out there with 50+ magazines for multiple weapons, not all of which they own.

I've got about a dozen GI 1911 mags from ammoman, four Wilsons for each 1911 (except my AMT - 12 mags total), not to mention a mag or two here and there that came with the guns. Hell, I've even got a Randall mag somewhere here, dunno where I got it... I've got six or eight Para mags for my Kimber Polymer. Bout eight or ten 30s for my AR, two 20s, I think four modded UZI mags for a 9mm AR (I dont have one yet, dont know if they count becasue I cant seem to find them, or the 9mm hammer), one drum (50 rounds) for my thompson, two 20s, four blued 30s, and four parked 30s that I cant remember buying. Although they're not magazines, I've got one bandolier loaded with slugs, another with 00 buck, and one more with 4 shot.

I dont think I'm a mag whore. As a matter of fact, I want more. I need more.
