I just got a neat little gun that looks like the AR15 but is in 22lr. Nice shooting AR15 clone from Italy. Armi Jager AP74. I tradded an extra 10-22 I had. The AP74 is in great shape but the cheap plastic stock is broken where the bottom butt plate screw is. It has a nice sized chunk out of it but still can shoot it fine. I wanted to know if anyone has a suggestion on restoring it. I have not been able to find a replacement stock from any of the big sellers of parts like, Numrich, brownells, etc. ???

JB-Weld, or Brownell's Acra-Glas, or Bondo body-putty & paint it?

About all I can think of without seeling the problem.

If your AP-74 is like the original guns, the plastic is one that can be glued with a solvent-type model cement.

After gluing, reinforce with epoxy. Roughen the surfaces so the epoxy will adhere better.

You can also use a standard polystyrene plastic to reinforce the broken area, then add epoxy to strengthen.

To be sure the plastic is bond-able, get a bottle of liquid model cement at a hobby shop and test a hidden area.

If worse comes to worse, replace the stock with an AP-75 wood stock:
