I honestly can't remember anymore as it was so long ago. Can you load an AR mag using a stripper clip?

Noticed that you can buy ammo on stripper clips but I don't ever remember being able to load the mags using a stripper clip.

Someone tell me if you can.

That's it! When I was in the service the cartridges came on stripper clips. However, you could never find the tool that went into the magazine. In typical military fashion you had to take the rounds out of the stripper clip and load them by hand. Wonderful life in the service.

There was one clip guide packed in every cloth bandoleer of 5.56 ammo when I was in the service. I didn't have to hunt one down if there wasn't because I kept one in the bottom of every mag pouch I had on my web gear.

The unit I was in had an ammo bunker. To get ammo you went in, took boxes of ammo that had stripper clips to load your mags. There were no tools to assist. I'm sure someone had them though. None of the bandoleers I was given had the tool either.

God, I do not miss the military! I did the shortest time I could. Still remember the reenlistment talks, why would anyone do it unless they were an officer? It was a horrible life unless you liked being told to do everything.

Well I had a p38, Sharp knife, and a zippo. In 19 months I never saw a spoon or 1 day of leave.

Who ate all your spoons? Like RC said, one came with every bandoleer. Maybe Milo Minderbinder sold them. Was a paper receipt in the bandoleers for the spoons?

I just got a couple of these after reading reviews on a another fourm about them. Its just as good as they said it is. One of those things i wish i would have found 20 years ago.
Google 'Striplula'.

I have one and it's great! It works with strippers and loose rounds too.

OK, I'm going to pick a few of these up and make up for being cheated. This is the second AR I've owned. And I said I'd never own another, oh well.
