Right now it's at 1/3
I have a spacer to bring it to 1.93", I just need to get some longer screws.

One more scope mount and all those will be at 1.93" also.

No NODs , just a long neck that doesn't like to be kinked up anymore.

I use 1/3 lower on my flat top AR's but have never used a red dot on any fixed carry handle uppers. When I was in the Army, we just didn't see much of any type of optics for the A1 or A2 outside of certain units. Mostly what we had were night vision scopes, AKA star light scopes. And those definitely sat high on the carry handle. I haven't bothered with optics on my few fixed carry handle uppers I own.

I tried a bunch of them. Heads up is nice, but when I went back to lower third, I didn't have to work as hard to control the rifle.

My absolutely, positively has to work rig has an acog at standard height with a piggy back red dot. That's about as heads up as you'd want to get. Everything else is back at lower third.
