Why don't you call them, or ask them in person?
This like this are so much easier when done in person. They shouldn't have any problem with helping you. After all, if you get a Garand, you'll be using their range even more.

Hey Samuraigg,
If you are in the SW burbs check out the Aurora Sportsmans Club. They have Service Rifle clinics there just for the purpose of getting people qualified for the CMP. Rifles and ammo provided!

Dangit.. I just missed the June date... looks like I'll have to wait till later this year to do it. Oh well, I don't have the money to buy a CMP Garand right now, even if they were in stock.
