Just picked up a 1100 with a fixed choke but looking for a barrel that has RemChokes. Any ideas where I might find one.

Even thought about having Briley install a set of chokes but do not want to spend that much money for a 4 or 5 set of chokes.

Thanks,

Cheapest route, and best if you like the feel of your existing barrel, is to have Mike Orlen install tubes. He and Briley are the only two I will personally vouch for, and he is cheaper and faster. He does not have all the tooling Briley does to do anything, but he can darned sure do an 1100.
For a barrel, Remington, Midway, Brownells, and ebay. But the days of cheap deals are mostly history.

I have a stick that will beat it. ;) Choke tube installation (per barrel), $55.00, $84.00 with one tube, that's Mike's rate. I have heard good things about Carlson's, just no personal experience. I knew Mike was a good guy when I read his quote from Ralph Walker - now there was a real fine gentleman and a heck of a gunsmith. I ran up quite a phone bill talking to Ralph, and a fair bill for work back when I was working with Ralph and the late Stan Baker on barrels and custom bored choke tubes. They did a lot for free too, because I shared my results with them. Good memories.

Mike gets very good reviews from a lot of folks on ShotgunWorld.com as well. (as does Briley).

The other route would be to sell or swap your barrel for one with the Remchokes

Kittery Trading Post in Maine...bought two remington barrels from their web site few years ago..both under $100..condition as stated..would not hesitate to buy from them again...Jack
