Some of you may recall that I recently bought a BERSA from a co-worker who had been diagnosed with ALS. Many of you sent me private messages expressing condolences and describing your own experiences with this tragic condition. I thank you all for your genuine and sincere concern.
Today, I got another private message, which I quote below exactly as I got it, along with my reply:

Hi,
I just learned about your friend and my prayers go out to her.
At this difficult for her time she needs all the help she can get and, I think, buying her gun was a very nice gesture.
1 I am writing this message because recently I came across a very interesting video on youtube where some guy buried a Glock 21 in dirt for two years and the gun still fired fine.

2 Here is another quite disturbing video about the things that are going on in NY right now. [urlxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
3 A lot of NYC gun owners are not aware that when they apply for a handgun permit in NYC they give the police permission to search their house whenever they want and inspect, read 'take away' their firearm(s). All those sad facts gave me an idea to bury a Glock of my own in case the situation in NY gets even worst. I hope some day I will move out from NY to some other state but for now I have to accept things as they are and be prepared.
For now, I decided to buy a Glock 21 in .45 ACP, put it in my stash along with AR15 and some other stuff, and bury it.
If your friend decides to help me with this little project I provide her with a copy of my DL, CCW, the bill of sale and I am offering her $1000 for a new Glock 21. I will pay for the shipping too. For obvious reasons I am not going to register the gun with NYPD so, sending the gun to FFL is out of question. This is my email in case she decides to help me with the project:

No play on this end. My friend has more things to worry about right now. She may or may not know the applicable laws, but I do, and what you propose clearly violates a number of federal and state laws.
Thanks for your expression of concern for my friend, but if you were really concerned, you would not try to make her an accessory to a series of felonies.
Has the BATFE sunk so low that you've had to resort to efforts to entrap people who are going through such tough times? FWIW, her sale to me was fully in conformance with federal and Florida laws.
Not a nice try.
