Another FAL.
Can't argue the AR10 vs FAL because I've never had an AR10 but the FAL certainly has the performance history to make it a solid choice.

I'm not exactly sure how much I have in it, but I figure it's replacement value is about $6K. You could have a similar Mod 1 built for about $5K.

I love to shoot my AK and my DPMS 308 (kinda like an AR10). I like to shoot my FAL. Magazine placement is the most favorable in my AK and FAL, I don't really like the AR10/15 mag well lock-in. I find it more difficult to place a mag correctly in either of them. The FAL is MUCH easier to shoot recoil-wise than my DPMS 308. That thing kicks much harder than my FAL. The AK is a pleasure to shoot. I like the cocking mechanism on the AK and FAL much better than the AR variants as well.
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
--oh yeah, no last shot hold open on the AK is kinda lame, but I can live with that.

It's a 1-4x. At 1x it is just like an Aimpoint. At 4X it allows me to more confidently reach out and let the 7.62 NATO stretch its legs.
