Hello.

I am trying to remove the butt pad on my 1201fp, but I don't know how. Can anyone give me tips? Do I just pull this thing off?

There are no screws that I can find in the two holes...

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance...

Regards,

Scott

Well, there are screws in there, or there wouldn't be holes for them in the butt-pad.

They are very likely Phillips-Head screws.
Try a Phillips-head screwdriver.

Could be Torx too.
Poke an icepick in one of the holes and probe around.
If that is a plastic stock they could use plastic rivets.

Thanks RC and Chaw. I will give it another look and report back. Much Regards,

Thanks again! After fishing around a bit, I was able to unscrew the butt plate. The screws sat a little high relative to the holes, but once I got it snug it was not a problem.

Scott

What are you replacing it with Scott? I have a 1201fp and it can be a little...invigorating with solids! Thinking about getting a decelerator or limbsaver etc... put on it

Hi Dirty. I bought this used over a year ago, my first shotgun. I am looking just to give it a detailed cleaning and tinker. Good luck with the replacement!
