This @#$@#es me off. They just certified that silly OD 92FS, and a 92FS and 92FS Vertec with Lasergrips in California but still no 92G-SD?!?!

:cuss:

SOrry, just had to vent... No new guns until May anyway.

*sigh*

yes, what does the SD stand for? Is it what i think it is? If so, no chance in hell you'll see it in cali.

SD stands for Speshul Doodie, not schalldampfer (sp?). It has a grip serrations ( whatever they're called, not the little spikes but a crosshatch pattern), an accsy rail, crowned barrel, Trijjie sights, decock only, maybe a beveled magwell, Brig slide. And thankfully slotted grip screws.

I'm still not all that warm or fuzzy over the accsy rail, but I do like the sights & the full length barrel!

I'd really like to know if it has the beveled mag well the Elite mag catch.
But it might not matter, the damn thing's so expensive, lowest price I've seen is $830.

Strangely, that 92G-SD is just the opposite of what I'm hoping they make at some point: Straight backstrap, like a Vertec, but without the GGR (Goofy Gadget Rail ;) ). I do however like the "decock only" idea of the 92/96Gs...

Uhh, sort of. Would just as soon it be in black. Have seen that type safety on the Bilennium when it was out (think my dealer had as many as TWO of 'em.) The feel of it was ok. Honestly, reckon I could live with the Vertec's rail, as long as there are some holsters that will fit this variant of the 92/96. Wouldn't have anything hanging on the rail, at least not anytime soon.
