Had a 1301 that would not cycle ammo.
After weeks of trying to get Beretta to reply, they sent a UPS label to send it to their 3rd party for repair.

Got it back with a slip saying forend replaced. Same problems.

Another nonsense round of hounding big wigs. Had a phone call with a John on 7/26 saying if not ifxed this time we'll buy it back. Great.

Another UPS label from them so sent back a SECOND time. Received it back weeks later & nothing was fixed. Same problems.

Get the run around again. Go higher up the chain for weeks until I get a call from a Ted Somers. Send it back for a THIRD time. LOL what?

Refused to buy back & claimed I was never told that.

Will never own or buy anything from Beretta again.

A shame because I had a few CX4 Storms a while back that I did enjoy...

Third party repair is always a problem, I would send it back with a detailed letter including what ammo you have tried and how it has bent sent back two times before and include your phone number also insist on sending back to the factory.

Again, sent it directly to Beretta the second time & nothing was fixed.

All manufacturers produce a lemon every now and then. It's a shame they can't get it right, especially after three tries. I've owned a few Beretta's over the years and they've all been rock solid, including my CX-4 & 90-Two combo in .40 S&W.

The sad, or hilarious part depending on how you look at it, is when I said that to Ted he proceeded to tell me lots of people have a 1301 that runs great. LOL

Yes but your other options are sell it for peanuts, or rip somebody off. Only options is get them to fix it, after that you may never be happy with it so you may sell it even after it is fixed. hopefully they are paying the shipping.

He already sold it to somebody. Had it advertised on this site, but I don't know if someone here bought it.

i was looking at a few auto beretta,s at my local gun shop. i just crossed them off my list.

If you cross guns off your list because some random person on the internet complains about a gun or manufacturer after having only fired "less than 50 rounds through it", then you're going to have to cross all guns off your list.

Yeah, the people that could rectify the problem never even looked at it.

Welcome to the six sigma manufacturing process, if you never buy another, you won’t get one on the right part of the curve…

well i have bought alot of firearms in my short 79 years and have had a few duds, tho i didn,t care to run them down i stayed away from them. i my self like remingtons and brownings,. with six browning shotguns right now that i shoot(maybe not as much as most) but i have never had any problems(only normal cleaning) with thousands and thousands of shots fired(both factory-reloads). my older BT-100 has over 40,000 shots thru it my remingtons 1100-1187,s have not been shot that much and have only needed minor parts and cleaning to keep them running. a good friend shot his 1100 remington over 600 time at the clays games before cleaning it with out any malfuctions. so one new right out of the box that does not work and after sending it back several time with out it working as it should, i,ll just pass.

Why is that "LOL"? Search the internet...there are tons of ecstatic 1301 Tac. owners (me included). Mine has never failed to cycle with any ammo in the @ 600 rounds I've put through it. What shells were you using?

Because of one guy? I'd do more research than that.
