My love of Px4 was informed byyou should check pistol-forum.com for a thread titled "The PX4 Compact might be my DA/SA Glock 19" that was started by Ernest Langdon
I've been eyeballing the PX4 since it was introduced back in 2004. Other than the grip texture, and Langdon does include Talon Grips with their gun, Langdon improved everything on the gun that I was "iffy" about. You can also always go with a Langdon Tatical version. The Honest Outlaw reviewed it and said it was a great pistol and the best version of the Px4 to get.
I started looking at the PX4 Compact for several reasons. It is ambi and I'm a lefty. The weight looks reasonable and from what i have read, the rotating barrel seems to help with felt recoil. I have some nerve damage in my left hand so this is something that is important. I currently have a Beretta 81 which i handle just fine and do carry it. I would like to know your likes and dislikes for the PX4.
Yeah, Beretta had been running a $75 rebate on the PX4, which is great if you could ever find one in a store to buy it.I would have liked to handle one but no dice.
I would have liked to handle one but no dice. I did pick up the Glock 43X and will be giving it a test drive in next couple days. Gonna start with some 115 and 124 ball ammo to get a feel for this thing.
While my choice was the full size, I believe Ernest Langdon also prefers the Compact.I just tried the PX4 compact and full back to back last night. Unfortunately not a ton of rounds through either though. It was really hard to definitively say which one was “better,” they feel very similar. I think that means the compact wins for me simply because it’s a little more practical to carry.
