Got one on order.. Getting impatient, and waiting to go claim it from my ffl. Anyone got a pic inside the forearm.. or can pull a measurement on how thick the forearm material is at the sling swivel if ya dont mind? Talking the polymer stock on the hunter model only here.

Thanks...

I haven't heard of anyone around here with a polymer version of the Hunter yet. LoonWulf and I both had the Timber version, but I haven't seen too many people posting or talking about the Hunter model yet. Good luck though.

There are a couple in the racks of a local store, but its not one of the ones im friendly enough with to ask to take apart their guns LOL. From handling one it SEEMs like they have a pretty substantial, or at least stiffer forend than the current crop of plastic stocks.

Olympus and Loon, saw your guys reviews.. I wondered why you didnt just reshape the stock to your liking Olympus.. I own some browns custom grips .. you can do it :D

I still haven't gotten it.. should be delivered this week, so we'll get a report. Yes, the stock does feel fairly substantial compared to the likes of the axis, etc I would like to see if I can bed an anschutz rail into the forearm for my handstop.. kind of hope it is thick enough to do, or I'm gonna have to re-inforce the stock to inlet it properly..

Oh I don't know that I have enough faith in myself for that kind of work. Refinishing a stock on a brand new rifle is no big deal, but I get a little nervous when it comes to "reshaping" a brand new stock. Easier for me to just move it on down the road to a customer and find something that fits me better.

I dont mind minor reshaping.. I'll sand down places I feel are too thick.. I haven't refinished though. I've only done that on a poly stock, so there wasn't any finish to redo. I know you can rock out the checkering.. BTW.. those red palm grips you did for my old man still ride his heinie tuned pistol for daily carry.. Several years later.
