Just got an email from Berry's - some nice Christmas Sales going on over there! 124gr RN 9mm $78.00/1000 $21.00/250
230gr RN .45 were $125/1000 $34/250 - That includes shipping by the way (to those who didn't already know this).

I just grabbed 2k of the 9mm, even though I still have 600 or 700 from the last 1000 I ordered...its like getting a good price on toilet paper or tooth paste, I may not need any right now, but at some point I will :)

Yea thanks for the info.

i have been buying allot from berry's and haven't received any email. I'll have to make sure I'm signed up to get there specials sent to me also.

I want on the list:eek:

That seems expensive, I admit I haven't used plated bullets in years so it seems prices went up a lot.

If 1k of the 124gr RN plated Berrys for $78.00 is a good sale what is the regular price?

I think a better deal is a case (@3750) of Montana Gold 124gr FMJ for $300 shipped is a better deal. These are jacketed bullets and NOT PLATED.;)

Even with Berry's having a sale, Powder Valley is still cheaper on all their Berry's products. That's all I use now and Powder Valley is a great to place to order from

Strictly speaking, assuming I did my math correctly, the Berry's are 7.8¢/per shipped and the Montana Gold are 8¢/per shipped. The advantage (for some) is that they wouldn't need to order a case. I would like to try the Montana Gold bullets at some point...probably won't start out with a case though.

If your looking for jacketed 124gr 9mm try Precision Delta. They're $79/K shipped.

I've been shooting lead SWC almost exclusevly for years but am considering trying some of these bullets. Are they FMJ or plated? Will they be OK for guns with Polyigonal rifled barrels (Glock, Kahr, etc)?

Berry's bullets are plated and will be fine in polygonal rifled barrels.

I use lead load data or start-to-mid range jacketed load data as Berry's recommends.

I use Graf & Sons for all my reloading equipment where you can save Money & there shipping Policy is hard to beat, Might want to check the out.

I ordered the Berry's 9mm 124gr HBRN-TP. The prices were better at Powder Valley even with shipping.

Been e-mailing Berry's and the reply I have is to use FMJ loading data on the TP (thick plate) bullet, but do not exceed 1450 fps.

I've used a few thousand Berry 124s, and like them alot. But comparing the price to PD or MG jacketed, it's getting hard to justify staying with plated.

These specific bullets that were on sale were probably a better deal than most other places even if only by a $ or two. Berry's isn't always the cheapest place to buy that type of bullet, but the cheaper places either are usually back ordered on the stuff I want, or you need to order in larger quantities than I need, or they have primitive websites that can make ordering from them confusing.

leadchucker: Not if you figure shipping into the comparison.

From Berry's

9mm 124gr HBRN-TP - 1000 rounds -w- free shipping $95.75

From Powder valley

9mm 124gr HBRN-TP - 1000 rounds $74.04 - shipping $9.95 = $83.99

Good price from Powder Valley, since those bullets are out of stock.

Now compare the standard RN.

Look guys not trying to cause an argument who is better was just saying. I like Berry's bullets and that is all I have reloaded, I do shop around when it comes to ordering bullets. And everytime I order bullets, Berry's is always the most expensive. The last order I made was from Graf's for 2000 .45 ACP SWC and they were a couple dollars more than Powder Valley but Graf's had them in stock. I did check Berry'[s christmas sale and for the rounds I load they were not the cheapest, Powder Valley was and they were in stock.

Nothing against Berry's website, if you like ordering from them great, I will order from them also when I see they are the cheapest for what I need. ;)
