i have a bersa .380 CC and i like it a bunch, but i have some doubts about the .380. I think i would like to have a 9mm. so i was wondering if i could get some imput one the differences in concealing a larger weapon. How hard would it be to conceal a SR-9 or 24/7 or CZ SP-01 compared to the bersa. can anyone recommed any of these?

Or is the .380 enough with some good ammo?

Thanks

I have a Bersa, and I carry it at times while walking the dog.

Is the .380 enough? Under the right circumstances, and with the right shot placement, yes.

Personally, I do like a bit more punch, though, when I'm out in public.

What about a Glock 26 or 27?

If you'd care to wait, Ruger will be bringing out a compact version of the SR9 before long.

The 380CC is a nice pistol for carry . I have never had a problem with the 380 for a SD round I own 5 at present. 380 been around a long time and the new HP's have improved its standing as a SD caliber. Corbon DPX is the better of the HP. BG's don't really want shot Many times the sight of a gun is enough to send them packing.

I have a Bersa Thunder 380 and a Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact.

The 380 is easier to conceal, but the Thunder 9UC isn't too big. If you have doubts about the performance of .380ACP as a defensive round, keep in mind that you will most likely be using a small, concealable handgun for defense at close range. Look up some gel tests of good .380ACP defensive rounds like Golden Sabers or Corbon DPX. Even in denim-covered gel, they penetrate and expand well enough to make me comfortable carrying them.

I'll say what I've said in every other Bersa thread that's popped up lately.

Inexpensive. Accurate. Easy to operate. Easy to carry.

Oh, and if you do end up getting a Bersa and joining Bersatalk, watch out for this guy named Michael T. He posts EVERYWHERE. Such a know-it-all! We just smile and nod. :)
