I have a Belgium BHP, a CZ-85 Combat, and a P-38. I kind of like the thinness and pointability of the P-38 even though it has limited capacity.

i don't feel like anything would beat out my USPc for a compact 9mm... if i could check out one i don't have, it'd probably be a PM9.

We DID say "concealed," right?

Unless you're a big dude and/or wear a parka a lot, expect to compromise a little. I like the Glock 17 - and THAT took some getting used to since I teethed on a GI 1911 - but hey, it's almost idiot proof and handles well with a little practice. The Glock 19 is a great compromise "place to start" but you have to figure out how well you need to conceal the thing and under what conditions. The big 9's like the BHP are great, but for the money, if you're trying to downsize this whole deal, I'd go with Glocks and see how small you really want it. The 19 is handy and controllable, also about as big as "concealable" gets.

the only 9's I have shot were a glock 17, xd-9, and a 92fs

for me the xd9 is surprisingly accurate.. the 92fs is a good gun as well if you don't mind a fat grip.

I didn't care too much for the glock, maybe because it was a range worn model

bought a cz 2075 rami compac in 9 mm holds 10 rds.
fits my hands good and I like it better than my Baretta 92

Go with a brand new 9mm Hi-Point, cheap and I think you will find that it is very reliable. I did.

CZ 75 Compact P-01

Dead accurate and flawlessly reliable.

And a darn sharp knife or three for good measure.
