oh yes forgot to mention im hoping to find something in the 400-550$ price range,a pps is fine but to expensive(or is it?)

Take a look at a used Sig P239 if you can find one. It should be in your price range and it is one of the Sigs that was tested by the DHS and passed. It is large in profile, but fairly slender with its single stacked magazine. Here's a summary of the DHS testing:

In the 2004 DHS tests, various SIGs, HKs, Glocks, S&Ws, Berettas, and XDs (w/o grip safety) were tested in 9+P/40/357. Beretta withdrew early on, leaving 5 makers to complete the tests. Over 3 million rounds were fired through over 300 pistols.

Tests like accuracy, reliability, durability, drop (mag and gun), sand, plugged bbl.

Toughest requirement was consistency.

To get a contract, all your guns had to pass all tests in all models and calibers. SIG and HK were the only makers to do it. The others failed at least one test w one model or caliber.

Sig P239

I like a Sig P239 best for a 9mm carry gun. It seems the perfect size for concealment, and is slim with a compact grip. But it is absolutely reliable and very accurate. It gives you 8+1 rounds, which seems enough to me. Here is mine:

Two great options in your price range:

1) H&K P7 PSP: The squeeze cock mechanism is awesome, and it's the fastest gun to draw & shoot, IMO. I love it. Fixed barrel increases accuracy. Lack of a huge guide rod lowers the profile & decreases felt recoil. Single stack (slim profile) 8+1 capacity.

2) CZ 2075 RAMI: CZs just plain rock, and I love the RAMI. It can be had in polymer or alloy frame, with manual safety or decocker. It comes with one 10 round mag and one 14 rd extended grip mag, which gives you a full sized grip. Great gun. Very accurate. If you're lucky, you can find one of the RAMI-P stainless options that are better for carry. Double stack 10+1 or 14+1 capacity.

CW9. I paid $405 out the door after 6% sales tax. Its been 100% reliable, even during the 200rd break in period. Im ~1K rounds with it now. I carry it alot. Its shorter in length, shorter in height, thinner and weighs less than the Sig 239. It also can carry 8+1. It is also shorter in length, thinner and weighs less than the Glock and XD sub compacts. Its shorter in height than the XD SC but not the G26.

The Sig is more expensive and relatively the same size and probably weight of the S&W 6906 with I own and love...you can get many 3rd generation Smiths for fairly good prices.

Get yourself a P6 or two. Sig quality without the sticker shock. Single-stack 9mm, might be a bit large for concealing, but I think it's entirely doable. They're starting to dry up though, so if you want one, you'd better jump on it right now. I got mine from AIM Surplus for just over $300, though I think they're out right now.

I have 2... a Glock 26 and a Sig 239.

They are both perfect in their fundamentals... reliable, accurate, durable, and easy/simple to operate.

The Glock being a bit lighter carries a little easier and holds more rounds, but the Sig is far more pleasant to shoot and has a slimmer frame due to the single stack mags. I would highly recommend either one. The Glock's price tag is definitely easier to handle.

If I were gonna carry the lowly nine
This guy is either joking, or needs genital implants.
The 9 is just fine. Load it up with modern, expanding ammo and forget what the guys with little wee wee's tell you.
