Best BANG for my buck (Optics)

The only optics I own are Leupold, binoculars, rifle scope, spotting scope, and range finder. They may not be the most economical, but they have a price to fit just about any budget and quality is uncomprimised. For the money, quality, and customer service, nobody does it better.
Whether it's a plinking day at the range, a serious competition shoot, or a once in a life time hunt, it has to be right and bright.
Leupold, when only the best will suffice!
While Leupold makes some decent optics, they are a far cry from a superior scope. They sure do price their optics like they are though.
They do have a great warranty and customer service, but there are many other companies that match those, and have far superior products for the price.

If it's for hunting and target shooting, I suppose the closest distance at which you hunt is a factor to consider. If most of your shots hunting will be at around 100 yards, then you'll probably do better with something that has 3X bottom end. 4X at the most. At 7X, the field of view starts to get pretty narrow.

For hunting a 3-9X is about perfect for most, but isn't the best for target shooting. I supposed that a 4-16X would be a good compromise, but the scopes in that range start to get pretty big.

SWFA sells an SS 3-9x40 which has a FFP mildot reticule and mil/mil turrets with resettable zeros and rugged construction for $600. Not super cheap, but quite a bargain for the features. It would be a good match for the 10fp

Check out Weaver scopes before you buy. Leupold quality optics, but at a lower price.
