I saw the scope in the link below, and thought of trying it for a hunting scope on a 7mm mag. It's a discontinued model, by Millett. It's normally $319, but discounted to about a 1/3rd of that now. Optics planet does not offer a Millett scope for less than the $350-400 range.

Has anyone ever used this brand of scope before? if so, were you satisfied with the product?

second try at a response for you. Yes, have two of them, one on a .17HMR another on a .270. Like them both. Have had them several years now. It is hard to find people who actually own them on forums vs. people w/opinions, at least that was my finding when I was first looking at them. I never did speak w/anyone who actually used one, so it was tough buying the first one, but I bought another later, no regrets.

I personally don't have one but a fellow I know has a Millet LRS on his 300RUM. I believe its the 6x24x56. I know he was building a 338 mag. He may have it on that now. He's got videos on YouTube shooting out to 2000yrds with it as well as a website called Longrangeshooter.com. He seems to rave about it but I believe his is a Pre-Bushnell. His name is Sean. Real friendly guy & between him & his buddies that shoot with him, he's a wealth of information & willing to help anyone. He even has a long range shooting school. You should check out his website. There even an article on it about his scope.

I have a Millett red dot mounted on a Browning Buckmark. The recoil on the .22 is nothing, of course, but the scope has held up well ... except, of course, when I forget to turn it off. That's why I keep several spare batteries in the case with the gun. Can't speak to the quality of Millett's "traditional" scopes.

I too have a millet red dot and I bought a Millet insert for my GP-100.
The Scope won't hold point of aim shot to shot on my .44 and the "drop in" insert turned out to be "File to Fit".
They might make some good stuff but I will never buy, nor recommend Millet to anybody again.

I went ahead and made the purchase. for the money, i guessed it was worth a try. it arrived, and first impressions are it looks like a good scope. it's BIG, with 30mm tube, and 56 mm objective, and very clear, even at highest magnification. the target turrets are nice, and it came with scope cover, flip up endcaps for both ends, and sun shade.
it's a bit heavy, but not extrordinarily so... expect most scopes this size would be so.
I'm trying it on a 7mm mag, have not mounted it, as i forgot to order the high 30mm rings, and no local gun store had them in stock. First impression is I like it. field testing may change my mind. will post a report once i have a chance to test it.

If that deal had come along 2 months ago I would have purchased that instead of a Busnell Elite 3200. I'm not complaining though. The Elite is a heck of a scope for the price.
