high-end .22 handguns, such as S&W 41 and Browning Medalist. OK, I know it's a basic question, but I'm trying to find the balance between the necessity of routine cleaning and not causing any long-term damage to such expensive pieces. You'd be surprised at how many people have recommended potentially problem-causing materials to maintain these fine handguns. To put it another way, I'm in my 50's, I got some new guns, and I want to be sure that they operate perfectly into my 90's What do you think is the best cleaning equipment for these "special needs" guns?

I've tried most of the major brands, and the ones I use now are from Pro Shot. Their stainless rods are the best I've ever held, and you don't have to worry about the "coatings" coming off in your barrel or chamber. If you're cleaning from the end of the barrel, use a rod guide to protect the muzzle.
