Best handgun for self defense and home invasion

Key is to have the gun on you - not put down someplace.

He has that in his model 60. He wants something with more capacity, so discuss those options and quit dragging this off topic.

Gentlemen I have gotten several good ideas here. Thanks to one and all for posting. Home invasions are rare. I carry. I like being responsible for my future. I surely hope that I never have to draw or use my handgun in self defense. But at times I was glad that it was there. I do not want to carry a shotgun. Am I knocking it for others? No. I think that I will just keep my model 60 nearby or on my hip and load up another revolver for another six shots. No cost, easy to do. I like this idea and have already done it. Will I get a Sig someday? Probably. Thanks for the links to home invasions. This is a really great board with many helpful members. I like reading it. I have just learned several things.
