I just got 1000 rounds of .223 from Georgia Arms in Villa Rica, GA.
I think it's $149 for 1,000 rounds.
I've used their 'Canned Heat' before in pistol caliber and have always been pleased. The ammo comes in ammo cans loose-packed. Nice folks to deal with.
Ditto....another very happy Georgia-Arms customer. I use their 55gr .223, 68gr Match .223, and 168gr Match .308. All great stuff and a nice company to deal with.
I buy Wolf for plinking. 3k rounds so far without a single problem. Good stuff in my guns, and I can nab it from sportsmansguide for just under $100 for 1k.
I've been gone for a while. Thanks for the replies. I also have done buisness with GA Arms and have been pleased as well. I will probably end up buying bulk from them.
I shoot Wolf through my AK and SKS. No real problems besides a hard primer, but absolutley the filthiest stuff I have ever shot. Wolf is a no-no for my AR but only because Its so dirty and I dont have much time for rifle cleaning these days.
I've never heard of miwallammo.com but I will look into them.
Although I usually wait until they're at Eastman's Gun Shows, 500 round cans for $80 each or two for $150. A friend and I ran about 800 rounds of their 55 gr. stuff through my AR and his Mini 14 in an afternoon with no hitches or anything. I'll be looking for them again at the next gun show.
Miwall is great for west coasters, but I don't know what freight is going to cost you on the right coast. I have bought from them plenty of times and have no complaints.
If you go to ar15.com and find the ammo section under ar discussions there is a stickie
where all the best ammo deals are kept constantly updated. Here's the link:
