When the ban ends, I'm gonna run out and buy me one of those evil collapsing buttstocks for my RRA AR-15. I hear on NBC that it will make it twelve times as lethal.

Where's the best place to buy? Who makes the most solid adjustable stock? Will a pre-ban collapsible stock fit my post-ban lower?

Thanks!
Rich

Cory at adrenaline arms did well by me. adrenalinearms.com
Unfortunately, his website is nothing but an email link right now, but he answers quickly, offers great service and prices, and stocks some neat stuff.

Opinions vary. I'm very happy with the cav arms M4 style telestock. Here's a good thread on the subject;

Yup, with a new buffer and buffer tube. Easy swap. You have an A2 buttstock now?

I use the Bushmaster 6-position collapsible stock and like it very much. I've been pondering getting a VLTOR modular buttstock.

There's plenty of places that sell new M4 6-position stocks for ~$70. A lot will probably be out of stock, as quite a few other people have had exactly the same idea as you.

If you want the most solid adjustable stock, get a Magpul stock Significantly more expensive at ~$225, but when closed is as solid as a fixed stock.

I have the rock river 4 positions in stock right now for $64 shipped to you in the lower 46. have sold this to many special forces folks nd the ones I talk to prefer the 4 over he 6, but its personal coice I guess. If you want the 6 positon stock I can also get those and will beat or match anybody's price on rockrivers items.

Thanks Jon

As one of my better-equipped (aka: major gear nut, buys every latest and greatest gadget to see if it works or not) buddies told me: Buy one of the $30 Tapco ones unless you're willing to spend over $150 for a Crane/Magpul/VLTOR.

Magpul was having a sale, $165 for used stocks, I grabbed one, its an awesome looking stock and I cant wait to try it next weekend at the range.
