i finally got my head out of the fog and shot a decent group. i'm calling it a biathlon tribute because i walked, or trotted, to the target and back after every shot without a break. every shot landed where i called it (except the last one) and all sixteen landed on the 8.5 x 11 paper.

as usual, it just took a couple hundred rounds down range and a bit of dryfiring. this happens every time i am away from shooting for a couple months. a few hundred more rounds and the pistol should quit bouncing around so much!

"luck of the irish" with that last shot. the gun was really moving at that point, but still felt good about the hold and trigger pull.

nothing much to say here, just happy with the overall performance of the pistol, ammo and, finally, the shooter.

actually, i just watched the american, lowell bailey, win a gold medal in the 20 kilometer individual race. he shot a perfect 20 out of 20 and beat the second place skier by 3.3 seconds. first gold medal by an american in the ibu world championships in quite a while.

hey redbone, do you think you could post a video of the men's individual race for me then give me a brief tutorial on how to do that so i can do it next time?

thx,

I used to deer hunt on cross-country skis. I had a pair of skis that were actually too short for me so I didn't glide as far, but they were easier to use without poles. In my hands was my Remington Model 700 BDL Left Hand Bolt in 30-06.
