Now that’s FUNNY!This thread has really taken a turn comparing a gun to Nancy. In that vein I will say that in 80 years the Henry will look a whole bunch better than Nancy does now.
Politics aside, I think I have read this whole thread but I can't remember if anyone has said they have any experience with one at the range.
Go to your room, son, after your mom and I wash your mouth out with soap!I HATE COLT!
Yeah I said it
I enjoy my Roughneck .357 Mag. I paid under $240 for it brand new, out the door from Academy Sports since it was the floor model and they were doing the veteran's discount too at the time. Good solid little gun. I have a small pile of Colts, four Pythons, some Trooper MKIIIs and Lawmans, plus a smattering of Detective Specials, Cobras, and other pre-WWII and post-WWII models.I understand that completely. I've tried to take on that role regarding Bond Arms.

Nobody here has shot a Henry
Well I purchased one a couple days ago, it should show up in the mail soon. I wanted to see for myself. No it's not going to be my favorite looking revolver, but I care more about how it handles, feels, and how well I can hit stuff with it.
Meanwhile, the Henry Big Boy Revolver was just born ugly.
Yes have a old uberti cattleman in 44mag. Built like a tank.Does anyone have one or has anyone tried one? They won’t win any beauty contest, but I am curious if anyone has taken one for a test drive.
Yeah I always wanted an $800 revolver that looked like a $150 revolverThats not realistic. You are putting them in the same tier as Rossi and Taurus, which is just silly. The Big Boy has very little comparison to either other than the fact that all three are double action revolvers. The people looking for what Taurus or Rossi have to offer likely weren't in the market for what the Big Boy is anyways.
You are showing dirt cheap "combat" revolvers from known budget imported brands with dubious reputations and customer service.
Henry is none of those things.
Honestly, they are kind of creating their own niche with these offerings. Definitely not going for anything "combat", "modern", or "High speed".
More "heritage", "Nostalgia", and "reminiscent".
Then maybe no self respecting thief would want to steal it.Yeah I always wanted an $800 revolver that looked like a $150 revolver
Have you ever dealt with crack-heads and meth-mouthed junkies? They have no scruples. If you're saying the Henry is that ugly that even they won't steal it, then the Henry ain't ugly. It is FUGLY.Then maybe no self respecting thief would want to steal it.
Brass is typically 1/3 zinc.Brass is not a zinc alloy. It is predominantly copper and a totally different critter from the zinc-based alloys used on cheap guns, which are all over 90% zinc.
You nailed it squarely! I really wish you and others could say otherwise. This revolver reminds me about the way army barracks in some countries are built; they are not necessarily cheap, but they have to look cheap.Again, I own Henry products and like what they make.
They screwed up on this revolver.
