hello everyone, I am looking for a bipod for my remington 700 cdl .308. I am heavily leaning toward the s-l 9"-13" model. I wanted some opinions on this model of bipod with a few questions on particulars.
I have never had a bipod before. I am 6'2 at 190 pounds. I give my height and weight because some people say that certain body types do better with certain bipods when it comes to prone.
I want this bipod strictly for prone and bench rest shooting. The S-Model swivels 45 degrees for use on uneven ground. I don't hunt and dont see myself needing this, but I may take a shooting class one day and would hate to need it and not have it. for those of you who have taken shooting classes, did this feature ever come in handy? This is the s model

Then there is the same basic model without the swivel which is here and is 30 dollars cheaper

I would like to hear your opinions on this bipod for me. If You don't see a need for the s model, it would be nice to save the 30 dollars.
also is the 9"-13" height good for bench rest and prone shooting?
Thank you for your time.
