Hello All-

With President Barry O's health care reform now in the basket, I think we
should turn our attention to his very next move; which could be towards
the re-kindling of the "black rifle" proposal that still resides in back of his
mind. In the past few months, I have noticed that the price tag on these
awesome firearms have dropped dramatically. We recently ran a sale on
both Smith & Wesson M&P-15's, and Double Star flat tops (optics ready)
for $779; your choice~! Now, comes along a beautiful Rock River Arms
LAR-15 called the "Operator Elite" in 5.56 caliber; complete with scope
mounts, 2x 30 round magazines, manual of arms, warranty certificate,
and hard case for only $1099.88 + applicable sales tax. I will have too
admit, I jumped on this band wagon myself; as it was too good a deal
to pass up. Yes, I still have my Colt CAR-15; and NO its not for sale.
Has anybody else taken advantage of the new prices on these AR's~?

I have two now. My buddy is working out the details on manufacturing .308 ARs now. Right here in Texas. I'll let y'all know when they are ready for purchase.

wish you woulda publicized the m&p's... and if you did, i regret missing that boat. feel free to contact me if/when you run a sale on remington r-25's - that is my next buying spree...

Nonsense gobbeldy-gook speculation. There's been essentially nothing done by this administration so far that shows that they're even thinking about taking away your guns. If anything, I think gun rights are actually gaining ground.

Really? Seriously? Can we give the scare tactics a rest for a few minutes? AR prices are low now because retailers bet the farm on the last round of hysteria and are now bloated with excess stock.

The cynical "they'z gonna be banned any day!" tactic to move inventory is getting old and is actually counterproductive because it makes people resigned to the inevitability of a ban (oh, but that's okay because they "got their's already"). Worse, the constant drum beat lowers the signal to noise ratio when it comes to actual legislation with more than a ghost of a chance of passing. The gun-buying public will eventually get tired of panicing and tune out. This is the last thing we want. You can only cry wolf so many times before people stop listening.

Edited to add: CDNN's got M&P-15s for $799 with 10 Thermolds and 5 P-mags thrown in. The CMMG bargain bin is full. It's a buyer's market.

+10000

Let's please not start another gun grab scare.:banghead:

I bought two this year since the price finally started coming down after the freak-out prices of 09 (which I refused to participate in and didn't buy a thing all year).

I personally have nothing against poodles. However I beleive when the Chosen one see's the end is near. We will see legislation like we have never seen.

++ on the "no gun scare" ... I need a break... Still playing catch up on the last year and a half. Prices have dropped due to some companies over extending thinking they had huge quantities of orders. The reallity is that one person was so scared they ordered from multiple companies trying to get one. Basically one in every three orders were real. Some companies ordered so much from manufacturing only to find out they had way to much and no orders, so they are just trying to get the money they paid into purchasing products, back into the companies. It will be short lived until the products are off the shelf and then back up to normal pricing.
There is always something in the works with legislation, however, nothing that can be passed with the stroke of a pen over night. Any legislation that could be possible would take quite a while and a huge legal fight before it could pass. Remember... only a lower receiver on a black rifle is registered as a firearm all the other parts are bought and sold without paperwork or serial numbers.

I am not a big fan of scare tactics myself, but...Kathleen Sebelius the secretary of Health and Human services is very anti gun, and has proposed regulating firearms by calling them a health hazzard. The latest healthcare legislation gives her a good bit of power. So, I guess I am fanning the flames here a bit, but backdoors have always been how people bypass our constitutional rights.

Well.... There goes the slight break, and explains the run on 80% receivers and jig sets.

Obama knows his boundaries, if he sprung something like that after force feeding this Healthcare Bill to the overwhelming numbers that didnt want it, surely their would be huge reprocussions.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!! <<Pushes Uncle Mike to safety>> Holy **** that was close!

Good thing I got cho back, Uncle Mike!

Ha ha - no..... I was true to form with my expertise in buying high and selling low. But if you don't have one, or have one and want some more, or have many and want some more, than the glut has indeed created a fantastic buyer's market - get 'em while they're hot, kiddos. :)

So if I want a AR that shoots the 5.56 round where is the best place to buy one right now, whose got the best deals? I'm interested.

this is the kind of crap that Classic Arms did to create the great AK panic of 07'. Great you have a huge inventory and need to pay bills, don't go creating a panic just to move inventory.

The dems are already in enough hot water and they still remember how they got kicked out of office due to the original ban, they are not going to do anything for the foreseeable future. The last thing they need is to give more fuel to fox news and the tea party movement.

I refuse to panic.

I've seen so many of these things come and go (including the Assault Rifle Ban of the Clinton era.) Then there was the "expiring primers" crap sometime back. Then the 5000% ammo tax fiasco that we're still sorting out. (Oh how often WE are our own worst enemies!)

At the end of the day, ANY piece of legislation that actually got passed can be repealed by the next administration. I think we'll see significant changes in the political makeup of our representatives and senators come November.
