I pulled my brand new, unfired STAINLESS 10/22 out of a Bob Allen rifle case I had stored it in since purchase a couple years ago, as I'm going to take it to the range for the first time tomorrow. Before I stored it, I had given all the metal parts a light coating of CLP. I pulled it out and part of the barrel and both sling mounts were covered in rust. No other guns that I have and had stored in the same area in other soft and hard cases had any rust on them, including blued ones.
So much for "Intercept corrosion technology."
Fortunately I was able to take all of the rust off with a melamine foam block, but there is still some faintly visible scarring from the pattern of rust. On an unfired gun.
