I have two LCPs; neither has ever given a moment's trouble in feeding or ejection. I had one failure to fire in close to 1K rounds. The guys at our club have a bunch of them, and they all work.
I've since picked up a Kahr P380 due to better ergonomics and sights; the trigger in particular is much better, as is the gun's angle in the hand. Now, all that said, there were teething problems with the Kahr. Not meaning to be off subject, but it doesn't hurt to think about all the choices.
The LCP is really hard to beat for the money; I'll agree with the previous poster who said not to worry with the laser. It's handy to be able to hit things at 50', but the reality is that these are point and blast guns; hard to justify using one in anger at greater than 21'
