Well, I finally got fed up with waiting and the excuses, so I let Chris know it. He said he'd send me my MKI back and not a MKIII like he had offered to swap. The MKI I had wouldn't work on my lower and many other people had the same issue. The bolt would bind and not go back. It was an issue with several MKI's, that is why he redesigned the bolt tube.
He's blaming the entire thing on my "out of spec" lower and now won't help me. I told him I didn't want a $1000 paper weight and to refund my money. He then said he'd send me a full refund of $895. I then had to call him out that I paid $1020 and had the credit card statement to prove it. He said that he'd refund that amount and that I'd be banned from the forum.
Well, I'm now banned and he's deleted anything and everything regarding this situation. I've sent several emails asking when I'm going to get my money and he won't respond. I told him that I'm giving him til the 18th of August to send my money to me or I will be reporting him for internet fraud. The 18th is 10 USPS shipping days from the day that he said he'd refund my money. That is more than enough time to get me a refund.
I first oredered my MKI in April of last year. I got put off for at least 2 months on delivery with all the same excuses he is using now. I was sold a "snap on" upper that I spent at least 4 hours fitting my lower and still the bolt wouldn't go back. I tried it on my RRA and Superior Arms lower and it wouldn't work on either one. It isn't just my lower. It was such an issue that there is a subforum dedicated to lower issues on Chris's forum.
In January, I asked him to swap my bolt for a MKII bolt because he changed the design to eliminate the bolt bind problem. He said they weren't interchangeable but if i'd give him a month or two, he'd exchange mine for a MKII. Well, we all know what happened with the MKII. It turned into the MKIII. I've had nothing but delays and excuses on this for 6 months and finally had enough.
Until I've received my money, I believe I've been scammed. I will post as soon as I get it.
He's been sitting on some peoples uppers for several weeks for repair when he's promised them it would be a week or two. A poster on Calguns had an issue with his brake being machined wrong and the bullets are hitting it as they exit the barrel. Some people with the 510 DTC uppers have the chambers reamed out of center causing the cases to bulge and hard extraction.
