Bought a Hi-Point Carbine

It's rare to hear of so many positive comments and so few negative comments.

Since when? I've read hundreds of positive feedback reports over the years. Maybe 2 bad ones by people that have actually shot a HiPoint carbine.

Same goes for the pistols. They dont seem quite as well regarded as the carbines, but still hardly a bad review from an actual owner.

I did as you say and tested function on my first loads I ever made for my 995. They wouldnt eject worth a darn! Took me a few minutes to realize what was going on. I have always made dummies without any primer. Seated spent primers in them, problem gone.

Did I forget to mention that? :)

Cabelas in Wichita Ks has 3 of them 9MM, 40S&W, and a 45ACP a few days ago. In the Gun Racks in front of the Gun Liberay. But for the life of me I do not remember the price and they were all the same. If somebody is really intrested, the Cabelas Store in not to far from my home and I could go back out there and get the price they are asking. I had never held a High-Point Carbine in my hands befor. Looks and felt sturdy enough.

High Piont Carbine

I have bought and sold Thousands Of Guns over My 60 years of shooting , I as most shooters who love guns I love the cute ones & the Homeley ones , There was a new gun shop opening it's doors about 15 years back and they had the 9mm 's as a come one for $79.99 My buddy Max who always gets me in hot water talked me into buying one , It was 2 years latter I got it out and took care of some burrs and smoothed up a few things when I shot it I was impressed with it I have added a ATI stock and Nice little 35 MM scope that is worth 10X what the gun is worth this little gun shoots 2 inch at 100 yards and is light years funnier for Ladies Grandkids and Old Farts To shoot than the 10 Or 15 M1 Carbines I bought and sold over the year and Cheeper to reload for

Who Gives a Crap about Price and Pride of a Very Cheep Gun Shoot and enjoy smile & have a good time DD

I only heard good things about them. I don't own the carbine, but I do own their .45 ACP pistol and it is a good shooter, never jams, pretty accurate.
.

With the bad weather it's coming in a little late. Expected delivery Tuesday morning.

Good news I got my Canik S-120(CZ clone) in today. Can't wait to shoot it.

My buddy has one of the older models, think he bought it 12-ish years ago in 9mm & even though to me it is clunky I will say that it is definitely reliable & quite accurate.

cs is the best, the hardest thing about customer service is sending it back .while they had my old "ape carbine" they updated to a tacticool new style very reasonably

The only thing I don't like about these carbine's are the mag's. Other than that this is a best buy. One of these carbine's would make a fine HD gun. For plinking they're great.

Ugliest gun in my collection as it is another "Planet of the Apes" 9mm carbine.
Red dot scope helps me hit the target. Flawless operation. Backed 100% by the factory. I lost a screw and they sent me a bag of em' as well as takedown instructions for a complete cleaning.

Had a .40 carbine HiPoint and sold it only because I got out of .40.
It was absolutely reliable, surprisingly accurate with a cheapie 4x BSA scope, and the favorite of my juvenile nephews and their friends.
My only complaint was PITA disassembly. But you know what? I just kept spraying CLP down the internals and it ran like a champ all the same. Not kidding; put untold numbers of boxes of ammo through it, and aside from some sludgy brass had no issues.
Not suggesting, just reporting...
Now I have a TriStar .40 CZ clone, and will be getting another HiPoint 4095 as soon as may be.

I don't think I've ever disassembled my 995. I just use a spray cleaner and a Bore-Snake. Works every time, hundreds (thousands?) of rounds.

I bought my first one (995) in 2001 and during my first range trip it was permanently adopted by my Wife. She loves that little rifle and has repeatedly refused to let me sell it at a nice profit. I eventually found a second one an have had as many as Three. I enjoy shooting them, they eat any ammo I feed them, especially the cheap Russian steel case and are surprisingly accurate.

I was one of those guys who would never own one

but then I found an old beat up 9mm in my favorite gun store for $125 OTD. The owner of the shop lets his customers try any used gun out back. After running 50 rounds through it without a hiccup, I bought it. The sights were missing so I intended to send it back. I haven't got around to it yet, but bought a new 9mm and a new 40 in the mean time. These guns are a lot of fun, and they work. I have seen a couple of the old ones at the range that didn't though. They looked abused so that was probably the problem.

I have a 4095 and two 995's. Like everyone else, mine are reliable, accurate and great fun! The magazines are a non-issue to me, just buy a few more of them and load them all up at the same time so you can shoot longer.

These are the first two targets shot with my 4095. Took it out of the box and started shooting, fired one full box of 50 at each target. Got some flyers on the second target because of fatigue from holding it freehand, plus the black front sight post against the black bullseye in an indoor range. Ended up putting a little piece of masking tape on the front sight so I could see it better. All three have red-dots on them now, which increase the fun factor by orders of magnitude.

Funny thing, there was a butch female range officer there that was greatly amused at my purchase of such a "p.o.s.", and she eagerly stood behind me to watch the show when my crappy HiPoint blew up, as she was positive it was certain to do. After I shot the center out of the first target, she stomped away in disgust.

I'm thinking I want to get one in .45acp, I have a Marlin Camp9 I bought new in 19ought? and other than replacing the crappy recoil buffer, it's been a fun gun and pretty accurate. Need the .45 to go with my 1911.

I've got the 995 and purchased a 15 round Pro Mag magazine for it as well as a couple 10 round magazines. To date I haven't had any problem with the 15 round magazines, as it digests all my handloads as well as factory. The only problem is getting it back from my son who borrowed it about 6 months ago, and to date has shot well over 1000 rounds thru it. Note I've shot about 2500 rounds thru it with not even a hint of a problem, as it is still very accurate out to 50 yards using the Red Dot scope I purchased for it. Is it ugly, well "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Yes, they are ugly, feel cheap but at the price everyone should buy one. I have an older 995 and with factory mags it's been 100% reliable and if I do my part shoots 3-5 inch groups at 100 yards with just about any 9mm load.
