Well, Its 2011. Any chance the Bersa BP-9 is going to be available this year?

I emailed bersa to hear it from the horses mouth. They said they are still waiting for ATF approval. I read in December, albeit from the internet, that the importer, Eagle Imports, said the gun was approved by ATF and was now awaiting the green light from officials in Argentina. 
Obviously that is conflicting information. I hope they get it together soon because people just might loose interest. It looks like a great every day cc pistol.

Hadn't heard anything about this until I saw this post and looked up some info. It's a prime market segment and the pistol looks good. A really small polymer 9mm single stack is definately on my "will buy" list. I have to say though, that with the Kahr CW9 already at $370, Bersa is going to have a tough sell for me personally. Anything over $300 and I thin I'll personally end up going with the Kahr for this segment.
That said, their small .380's are already priced at $300 or slightly over, and you usually see a reduction in price with a move to polymer, so $300 or under might not be that unrealistic. Kel-tec is already competing at those price levels with more expensive US-based labor.

yeah its a nice sized gun, Bersa has a good rep. This one is right in the wheelhouse of dimensions i'd like to use for an everyday carry. slim, single stack. somewhere between a typical fat compact and a pocket.
