Please tell me about your Hipower triggers. Handled a new HP35 felt great, but the trigger seemed a little stiff, did not dry fire, just easing hammer down.

Also looked at HK P2000 and SIG 229, thinking of a higher end ($600+) gun. Nothing wrong with what I have just looking for a little better accuracy. I heard of the mag disconnect on the HP might help, but don't know how or how much it would cost.

The HK was DA/SA (version 3?) as was the SIG, which is what I want, thought I liked the HK alittle better ( and alittle more $) but SIG is quite popular here with L.E. and there is an outside chance I might get a job, pretty sure you could carry your own within guidelines ( no HP35).

Anyway just the endless what should I get next debate, appreciate any input.

Hi Powers have a magazine safety or disconnect- remove the magazine and the pistol cannot fire. Many HP owners remove the disconnect because it rubs against the front of the magazine giving a gritty trigger pull.

Removing the disconnect is fairly easy if you have a pin punch or drill press to push out a small pin that retains the disconnect.

I have a stock HiPower clone from FN with the detective slide, and I love it. It's surprisingly good -- I wanted SA only, and have found the trigger to be near perfect for me. I haven't handled any SIGs, but would think that for the $$ you better be able to find a stock version with a pretty sweet trigger!!!
