I have a browning buckmark URX. I've taken it to the range a few times and put around 1,000 rounds through it. Only thing I did to it was add a truglo front fiber optic sight.
One thing I have found is I have been having to continuously adjust the rear sight higher and higher as the gun keeps shooting low. Today I was having an issue with the firing pin barley clipping the top of the rim and not discharging the round.
I noticed both front and rear screws that hold the slide on had gotten loose so I tightened them which solved the issue of the light strikes. But I kept having to adjust the rear sight for height. The height adjustment screw has probably been adjusted 2 or 3 full turns to bring it upwards.
This is my first purchased handgun so it could possibly be me as I am fairly new to handgun shooting.
The ironic part though is my father gave me his smith and wesson model 27 .357 mag which I have taken to the range a few times, once along with the buckmark, and I can shoot much more consistently and accurately with the .357 than I can with the buckmark. I could shoot 2 inch groups consistently with the .357 at 10 yards where as the buckmark I get a 3-4in group with some wild flyers about an inch lower than where I'm aiming even after sight adjustment.
Like I said it could be my inexperience, but I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with the buckmark. Has been a fantastic gun so far just has a few quirks for me personally.
