I don't really "stockpile" it, but I do have a slowly growing accumulation.
For years I used to buy a brick of .22 LR every time I went to wally world, since that's no longer an option, I've started picking up a box or two of buckshot/slugs instead. I keep 'em stored in sealed .50 cal cans in a climate controlled area and I suppose they'll probably outlast me, since I do most of my shotgun practice with cheap, bulk game loads.
I figure its always better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. So far I've never caught myself thinking "I wish I didn't have so much damned ammunition!"
