Well...maybe. One thing it ain't is cheap. Work up a batch of 40, pay your range fees and drive to the range only to find your new load is less than expected is a big letdown and a bunch of money wasted. Not a total loss; at least you get to shoot. But I consider it frustrating, to say the least.
I have lots of partial boxes/containers of stuff that has never “clicked” in anything but that doesn’t keep me from buying stuff to try them in.
What is the goal? A target load, hunting, ? If the search is frustrating, stop and just buy stuff that works to begin with. Life is too short to be PO’ed, “for fun”.
