+1, I use my 7.7x58 FL die as a neck size/body die every 4th firing. I have no problems getting 10+ firings out of a batch of casings. Leave the shoulder where its at to avoid case stretching.
Is this whilst chambering a fresh round or extracting a fired case?
You maybe able to size the base of the case enough with a full length sizer die and maintain a minimum headspace, by backing it out some, then adjusting it down and checking the sized case in the chamber.
Once you find the point at which you have sized cases that chamber without sticking. Then try it with a seated bullet. You should then be able to resume necksizing on those cases once fired in your rifle.
Or like mentioned, a body sizing die will simplify things.
The RCBS Case Gauge that W.E.G. illustrated is IMHO the easiest and most helpful tool that you are in need of. You will be able to determine exactly where to set your full length sizing die to headspace your cartridges to your rifle's chamber correctly.
