I have gone gun trading crazy. It all started with a G22. Loved it and still do. I traded it for a G19 for cheaper ammo and possibly using it in CCW. Then I traded for G17 with some 33rd mags and decided that when I do CCW it would likely be a sub compact anyway. Did I mention all this took place in like the last 2 months? Anyway, the other night I was checking out a local website of "classified" ads for guns and ammo. I came across a Beretta PX4 and I fell in love. I'm talking faster than I fell in love with my wife here. (If I want her to know that I'll tell her. ). So the dude was looking to trade straight up for a Glock and I thought to myself "Hey I have one of those!" So I sent him an email and the game was afoot again.
Now let me be very clear. I have never had a single issue of a negative nature with the Glock's that I have owned recently. I have only put about 500 rounds thru each of them though, but the point is Glock is no doubt an industry leader for a reason. The ONLY reason I traded with this guy is because I got a little bored with the simplicity of the design in the Glock.
You know what I'm talking about. They all look the same!!! And they all function the same way (flawless BTW). I decided that not only was this Beretta PX4 drop dead sexy, but it had a lot of cool features to keep an indecisive guy like myself interested in it. I love the SA/DA and DAO. I love the external saftey and decocker and the panels you can change on the grip. And I'm still learning about it but this design on the chamber that is supposed to "soak up" some of the recoil. Don't know what it's called but it's tits!!!
Now this is a .40 S&W model and I know the ammo will be a bit more expensive, but the fella I traded with threw in 200 Remington JHP's so target ammo is all I'll need and I'm looking around for that in bulk.
I hope I have settled down now on this gun trading stuff. I should really go see a shrink about this contentment issue I have.
