CA gun show attracted 400K, more than any other in the US.

I went to the Big D gun show in Mesquite (Dallas suburb) and it was freakin packed on Saturday. There was a line waiting to get in several hundred feet long when I got there that morning. The prices were out of sight on most things, very few bargains for the items I was interested in. It was the craziest most frenzied gun show I'd ever been to. :fire:

I've skipped about half of them since the election, too many people, too high prices.

400k is a drop in the bucket. When the cenis was done in 2000, there was just under 34 million.

If only those 400K would align in some effort to change those silly laws

Not when the average American citizens first words out of they're mouth is "what's in it for me".

Costumes at a gun show?
That explains part of it.

Exactly. If the NRA or state assn' would get out there in those lines and start getting memberships OR start registering voters (like ACORN, etc.), think of the power we'd have. I've personally sent MULTIPLE e-mails and attempted to volunteer here in person at gun shows in Texas with my state association (I'm looking at you,TSRA), and have yet to get a phone call or e-mail back attempting to make use of my services. Call me TSRA!!

The only thing the NRA has ever done in CA( in my adult life anyways) is collect money.

Sure, but that's one gun show. You get half the gun show attendees in the country motivated we'd have something.

But I'm afraid that's just wishful thinking.

I highly doubt more then 10 mill people/year in the US atend gun shows. A good number of those are minors.

This is a good start but they have to vote in large enoughnumbers tomake a real difference. Still, must have been a good sized traffic jam.

I'm in central CA and we have a show come thru here about 5 times a year. The last one a couple weeks ago was jam packed, more attendees than I've ever seen. Unfortunately there was more people but no more inventory or selection to sell.

Hey, I was there on Saturday. I even spoke to the guy in the spiked helmet. I was the one with the newly purchased M1917 strapped to his back and a smile on his face. It was very crowded, but a good show. Half the fun is looking at the goofy people, myself included. It was fun.
