On the local TV news (Channel Five out of Seattle) last night, they were reporting that Cabela's is apparently planning to build a mega-store right off I-5 in the Lacey area. Lacey is about 60 miles south of Seattle.

In the greater Seattle area, we have a crying need for some 'big-box' sporting goods/firearms stores. Although I have never been to a Cabela's, I get their catalog, and I have heard the stores are definitely worth a trip.

I live just a couple of miles from there!! Hopefully the city will work with Cabela's to make this store happen!!

I'm stoked ... wondering if it's gonna be at all close to the size of the Cabela's near my ol' hometown (Dundee, MI) which was about a quarter-million square feet of really cool stuff ...

It'll be well worth the drive. So MillCreek, you still haven't gotten over here to our Sportsman's Warehouse in Silverdale?

Actually, I get over to Spokane on business more than I do to Silverdale. I have gone to the SW in Spokane several times. Talk about your great ammo prices! On this side of the mountains, in terms of large stores, I can think of the SW in Silverdale, Sportco in Fife, and that is about it. Do let me know if you think of any I have missed.

WONDER LAND

We just had one open up here last August and it is INCREDIBLE. My advice first visit plan on about 3 hours plan it around lunch time and maybe grab a Elk Braut.

Very Nice and worth a 200 mile trip to check it out.

COOL. I really like the Cabelas mail order stuff now I can go to see them in person :) Only problem is: Too many places to spend my money too little money to go around:banghead: .

George, since you live down there, do you actually know where the proposed site is? If so, can you place it relative to the freeway exit that I take when I am going to either St. Peter's Hospital or St. Martin's College? Sorry, but I cannot remember the number of that exit. 105?
